Since 1990, Michael Stavy has been an independent economic consultant with a specialization in wind economics, climate change, the Kyoto Protocol and the purchase of electricity in US states with competitive markets. He helps clients develop wind projects, arranges private placements of debt and equity financing and works for public policies that support wind projects. He frequently helps Illinois (USA) and Massachusetts (USA) clients buy electricity in their states’ competitive retail electric markets. Michael has 26 published papers and presentations. Michael received his MBA (1969) from Northwestern's Kellogg School of Management (USA) and his BA (1967) from the University of Illinois. Michael passed (1979) the Illinois CPA exam. He has taught at the Ecole Supériere de Affairs (ESA), Université Pierre Mendès France, Grenoble, France (2002), the University of Illinois at Chicago (1997-8) and at the College of DuPage, Glen Ellyn, IL USA (1970-99).
