Dr. Jain is a recognized global expert in wind assessment, wind modeling, economic analysis and all aspects of planning phases of wind projects. Dr. Jain’s experience extends to countless wind projects throughout the United States, Caribbean and Latin America. These projects ranged from single turbine installations in school districts to 100 plus MW wind farms.

Dr. Jain designed WECC’s proprietary data collection and management system - an innovative web solution to present wind speed, direction, wind-rose, and several other parameters in a graphical and tabular manner, based on daily data from met towers that provides customers daily updates on the wind regime. An expert in the WindPro wind analysis software (recognized as the best solution by all major wind turbine manufacturers), Dr. Jain enhanced delivery of Wind Pro modeling through his development of WECC’s proprietary MCP, a proprietary method for improving the accuracy of traditional MCP methods used for hindcasting measured wind data.

Dr. Jain continues to author white papers in areas of wind measurement and wind modeling, and speaks at various industry events as a recognized expert.

Dr Jain earned a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering & Operations Research from the University of California, Berkeley, an M.S. in Engineering Mechanics from the University of Kentucky, Lexington and a B.Tech, Indian from Institute of Technology, Bombay. He is the Founder and President of Innovative Decision Technologies, Inc. (INDENT, Inc.) that focuses on supply chain consulting, and voice and collaboration portals, LiveMed Journal, LLC that provides services for webcasting recent advances in Neurology and HIV/AIDS in a format that fosters high degree of interactions and broadcasts to medical schools.
