Mr. Oliva received an Electronics Engineering degree from Universidad de Buenos Aires, Argentina (1992), and later completed a technical postgraduate course on Grid Connected Wind Turbines at DEWI (Deutsches Windenergie Institut) in Wilhelmshaven, Germany, between 1993 and 1994. He currently pursues a Master’s Degree in Renewable Energy dictated by UNSa/UNSJB in Comodoro Rivadavia, Argentina. He serves as lecturer and Category III research staff at the Universidad Nacional de la Patagonia Austral (Renewable Energy) in Río Gallegos since 1994. He has been Science and Technology Secretary for this University between 2003 and 2005, and he has also served as Director of the Provincial Institute for Renewable Energy (IPER) in Santa Cruz between 2005 and 2006. He is currently developing his professional activity as a consultant at L&R Ingeniería in the areas of wind power, measurements and data acquisition. He has participated in a significant number of publications mainly on wind energy and measurements, focusing on technological and applicability issues of this renewable energy source.
