Sara Betancur
Project Engineer, 3E

Sara Betancur obtained an Electrical Engineering Degree in 2002 and a Master degree in Renewable Energies in 2006. In 2006 she received a honour mention to her university thesis as it became the basis of a national law.

In 2001 she started to work for Mejía Villegas as a project engineer for a power plant in the Dominican Republic. She was invovled in other projects for a few months. In March 2003, Sara started working for CELSA as a research and development engineer in the energy department which was in charge of the electrical lighting and medium-voltage electrical protection devices of the company.

From October 2004 to December 2005 she studied in Zaragoza (Spain) in order to obtain a master in renewable energies and during that time she equally did 6-months internship at Garrad Hassan (Spain), consultancy company in wind energy.

Since February 2007 she holds the position of project engineer in the wind energy department of 3E.
